You can add, remove, or configure this plugin in the latest versions of Do by clicking the arrow at the upper right corner of Do's window and selecting Preferences.

Overview

The Twitter plugin for Do allows you to easily post to Twitter for all of your microblogging needs. It also indexes Twitter friends for replying, and direct messaging.

Usage

term paper Setup: Open Do's preferences window by clicking the upside-down triangle. Navigate to the Plugins tab, select Twitter, and click Configure. Enter your username (not email) and your password. After your account validates, you may close the window, and you are now ready to use the Twitter.

Sending a Tweet: To use this plugin, activate Do and enter your tweet. Once you've got your message ready, hit TAB and enter twitter as the action. Hit enter, and your friends will know what you are doing within moments. If you would like to reply to someone else's tweet, simply hit TAB a second time and the third pane will appear. Here you will be able to select a Twitter contact either by real or screen name (Alex Launi or lamalex_). To send a direct message, simply start your tweet with the letter 'd' followed by a space, just like you would from IM or your phone, but rather than typing the contacts name, just select them from the third pane. If you decide you hate the third pane, you can always just use @<contact> or d <contact>.
