General

This page provides 3 options to control First-Launch Behavior of GNOME Do:

  1. Start GNOME Do at login: when enabled GNOME Do will automatically start as you login into the system
  2. Hide window on first launch (quiet mode): when enabled, GNOME Do will not be summoned after the first launch, i.e. no window will pop up if using Classic, Glassy, Mini or Nouveau theme; Docky theme will not enter summon mode.
  3. Show notification icon: when enabled, a GNOME Do icon will show in the notification area (system tray).

Keyboard

Keyboard page lists keyboard shortcuts for Summon and Text Mode actions. The default shortcuts are <Super> space for Summon and period for Text Mode. To edit a shortcut, double-click it and press a new key or key combination.

Plugins

All available plugins are listed in Plugins page. To enable a plugin, click the checkbox before the icon of the plugin in the list. If successfully enabled, the icon will change to a specific one to represent the plugin.

Above the plugin list, a drop down menu is on the left which allows you to filter the list to show only Official Plugins, Community Plugins or All Plugins. On the right is a search field which filters the plugin list as you type keywords inside it.

Below the plugin list there are three buttons. Configure allows you to open the plugin-specific configuration window to change settings of a selected plugin if that plugin is able to be configured; About will open the wiki page of a selected plugin; Refresh will update the plugin list.

Appearance

You can control the look and feel of GNOME Do in Appearance page.

The Theme drop down menu provides 5 different choices for GNOME Do interface: Mini, Docky, Classic, Glass and Nouveau. For each interface, you can change or reset its Background Color.

  • Always show result window: when enabled, the result window will show upon entering summon mode. (Note: this is not effective if Docky is selected as theme)
  • Show window shadow: when enabled, a shadow will be drawn under GNOME Do window.
  • Animate window: when enabled, some interface transition will be animated, e.g. showing the third pane, displaying the result window, entering text mode etc.

Do things as quickly as possible (but no quicker) with your files, applications, contacts and more!
