GnomeDictionary Plugin allows you to lookup for a word's definition to the Gnome Dictionary application
While the use of this plugin is fairly simple, I wasted a little bit of time trying to figure it out. I thought I would add some text here that may help a new user.
The Define plugin requires the following steps after it is activated in your plugin configuration setting tab.
As far as I can see at this point, there are two primary ways to use. a) previously selected word and b) new word user provided. Here are the basic steps for each:
1) Highlight the word you want to lookup in the document you are in.
2) Activate GNOME Do - Press: [Super]+[Space]
3) Type: Define (usually will hit after typing 'defi' but it appears to adjust so if you use frequently it may be on 'def' or if infrequently you may have to type the entire word 'define')
4) Press: [TAB]
5) Accept the default action "selected text" by pressing [Enter]
1) Activate GNOME Do - Press: [Super]+[Space]
2) Type: Define (usually will hit after typing 'defi' but it appears to adjust so if you use frequently it may be on 'def' or if infrequently you may have to type the entire word 'define')
3) Press: [TAB]
4) Type the word you want to get the definition for
5) Press: [Enter]
Well, that is it! Enjoy! --Mac 21:42, 3 January 2009 (UTC)
